Doctors have warned that people who have Botox injections to get rid of wrinkles may develop new ones in different places. Skin specialists believe that the body tries to recreate the facial expressions that the treatment has smoothed out. As a result, new wrinkles arise in mobile area of the face, adjacent to the frozen parts that have been injected with Botox.
According to Dr. David Becker, clinical assistant professor of dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York: "What can happen is that other, nearby muscles compensate - this this can have the effect of actually creating new wrinkles."

Hindustan Lever Ltd., through its division Lakme, is introducing a new skin care range and five more premium products. 

The new products are more expensive than HLL's current offerings and according to Vivek Rampal, Business Head, Skincare, HLL, "We are aiming at a consumer level of only ten million women and not the mass market". 

The products to be offered are priced between Rs. 75-300 and include Icy Fresh Gel, Butter Up Body Smoother, Strawberry Silk Splash and Skin Shimmer which is a lotion with glitter inside. The products have been developed exclusively for Indian conditions.

According to Reuters News:
A Beijing beauty salon has rolled out a hairstyle simulating the
wave of sheep hair to ring in the Year of the Sheep.

"Our goal is not to make customers look like sheep," Zhu Xingyu, a receptionist at Silian Beauty Center in a busy shopping district told Reuters on Friday.

"We want to simulate the natural wave of sheep hair. This style was created particularly with young, hip 23 to 24 year old women in mind," he said.

Customers can spend up to three hours and between 120 Yuan ($14.50) and 660 Yuan to achieve the style, a variation on spiral curls popular with Chinese women born to stick-straight hair.


Delhi girl Nikita Anand, a second year student of fashion designing at NIFT, who walked away with the coveted crown and title of Sunsilk Femina Miss India Universe while Ami Vashi was crowned Miss India World and Swetha Vijay was named Miss India Earth. 

According to The Associated Press, a veteran Hong Kong policewoman, Senior Inspector Sharon Lim may lose her job for highlighting her hair in violation of regulations, and then refusing an order to dye it back to its natural color, a newspaper reported Friday. (Jan 28 2003)
